ZAPATILLAS BAREFOOT CON LUCES

New collection of light-up barefoot sneakers

Who said respectful footwear had to be boring? At Conguitos, we know that growing up is a child’s greatest adventure, and to live it to the fullest, little feet need two things: total freedom and lots of fun. We’ve already been the first to launch barefoot sneakers with lights, and this year… we’re bringing a new collection! We’re aiming to cement our position as a leading brand in the barefoot category for children. The magic of walking as if you were barefoot Can a shoe with lights really be good for their feet? The answer is YES. Our big innovation has been integrating an ultra-flat battery into a super-thin sole. The result? A zero-drop, lightweight, ultra-flexible sneaker that lights up with every step—while still respecting natural foot development 100%. It’s the perfect balance: the design kids want and the peace of mind parents get from a product recommended by podiatry experts. We highlight four models to match each child’s personality: Pure energy. Trainers with a shiny finish. Their multicolor look makes them the ideal accessory to fill every daily adventure with light and color. The classic trainer. A clean, timeless white design with contrasting red and blue details—perfect for school or any everyday activity. Futuristic style. With a metallic finish, these trainers are the perfect wardrobe staple for a modern look. They add a sophisticated touch that goes with everything, while keeping feet comfortable at all times. Natural and versatile. A neutral-tone design, highlighted by blue and green details. Subtle and easy to match with any everyday outfit. Requirements every barefoot shoe must meet For footwear to be considered truly foot-friendly, it must meet a set of technical requirements that ensure natural foot development. The Conguitos Goflex Barefoot line is designed according to these standards: Full torsion and no reinforcements: the structure has no rigid elements, allowing the foot to move and flex freely. Thin sole: promotes ground contact and helps with balance. Zero drop: a sole with the same height from heel to toe, respecting the spine’s natural alignment. Wide toe box: allows free movement of the toes, so the foot can grow without deformities and helps prevent future podiatric issues. Hook-and-loop strap closure: encourages the child’s independence and allows a secure, adjustable fit. Removable insole: helps monitor foot growth in case it’s time to change size, and also improves ventilation and shoe hygiene.

How to know if shoes are too small for your child

How to know if shoes are too small for your child

Table of Contents How to know if your child’s shoes are too small (clear signs) Signs that the shoes are no longer the right size How to check your child’s shoe size at home The right shoes for every stage, always with Conguitos How often should you check children’s shoe size? How to know if your child’s shoes are too small (clear signs) Children’s feet grow fast, sometimes faster than we expect! That’s why choosing the right shoe size is essential for their comfort, healthy development, and everyday well-being. At Conguitos, we support your little one from their very first steps as a baby all the way through adolescence, designing footwear made for every stage. Today we’ll show you how to spot when your child’s shoes have become too small and when it’s time to change them. Signs that the shoes are no longer the right size Even if the shoes look like they still fit, there are some clear signs that they may be too small: Tight or curled toes: If you notice red marks on your child’s toes or instep after taking the shoes off, it’s a warning sign. Damaged or ingrown toenails: Shoes that are too small can put pressure on the nails and cause discomfort. Chafing or blisters: Especially on the heel or the sides of the foot. Difficulty putting shoes on or taking them off: If they used to slip on easily and now they don’t, the size is probably no longer right. Changes in the way they walk: If your child walks awkwardly, trips more often, or avoids running, they may be uncomfortable. How to check your child’s shoe size at home A simple tip is to check the space between the longest toe and the front of the shoe. There should be approximately 0.8 to 1.2 cm of space to allow for natural foot movement and growth. For babies and first walkers, this allowance is especially important, as their feet are still developing. It’s also recommended to check the size at the end of the day, when the foot is slightly more swollen, and always with the socks your child usually wears. The right shoes for every stage, always with Conguitos At Conguitos, we design footwear specifically for each stage of growth: Baby shoes: Soft materials, flexible soles, and designs that respect the natural development of the foot. Boys and girls shoes: Durable, comfortable shoes designed to support them in their everyday activities, from school to the playground Teen shoes: Style, comfort, and a perfect fit for a stage when the foot is more developed but still needs proper support. How often should you check children’s shoe size? As a general rule: Babies: Every 2–3 months. Children: Every 3–4 months. Teenagers: At least twice a year. Shoes that are too small can affect your child’s comfort and foot development. Checking the size regularly and choosing shoes suited to their age is key. At Conguitos, we make it easy with collections designed to grow with them, always offering maximum comfort and the designs you love. Because every step matters… and we want to be there with you for each and every one of them. You can also take a look at our baby shoe size guide and children's shoe size guide.

How to dress your baby

How to dress your baby: practical tips for every season

Index How to dress your baby in spring How to dress your baby in summer How to dress your baby in autumn How to dress your baby in winter Key tips for dressing your baby all year round Comfort, care, and freedom to move Dressing a baby may seem simple… until the questions start popping up. Will they be cold? Are they too warm? What if they start sweating? Don’t worry, learning how to dress your baby is a natural process that becomes easier with a little guidance and a lot of common sense. Each season brings its own challenges, and adapting your baby’s clothing to the weather is key to keeping them comfortable and happy. In this post, we share clear, practical tips to dress your little one throughout the year, always focusing on soft fabrics, light layers, and freedom of movement. How to dress your baby in spring Spring is all about changing temperatures, so the secret is layering. Cotton bodysuits with long or short sleeves, depending on the day Lightweight trousers and breathable tops Thin jackets or sweatshirts that are easy to take off Soft socks and light footwear if your baby is starting to move A helpful tip: if you feel like you need an extra layer, your baby probably does too. Checking the back of their neck is a good way to see if they’re comfortable. How to dress your baby in summer In summer, less is more. Babies regulate their body temperature less efficiently, so it’s important not to overdress them. Lightweight cotton bodysuits or rompers Breathable fabrics and light colours Hats to protect their head from the sun Very light, flexible shoes or sandals when outdoors At home, if it’s very warm, your baby can stay in just a bodysuit, or even just a nappy for short periods. The goal is to keep them cool and comfortable. How to dress your baby in autumn Autumn brings back cooler days and temperature changes, making layers essential once again. Long-sleeved bodysuits Soft jumpers or sweatshirts Comfortable trousers Light jackets or coats Socks and closed, breathable footwear This is a great time to introduce warmer clothing while still allowing plenty of movement and comfort. How to dress your baby in winter In winter, the goal is to keep your baby warm without overheating. Babies usually need one more layer than adults, but never too many. Cotton or soft thermal bodysuits Warm pyjamas Jumpers and comfortable trousers Light but padded coats Socks, hats, and flexible winter footwear Avoid too many layers indoors where heating is on, and always adapt clothing to the environment. Key tips for dressing your baby all year round Always choose natural fabrics like cotton Avoid rough seams or labels that may irritate the skin Opt for clothes that are easy to put on and take off Choose lightweight, flexible, and breathable baby footwear Observe your baby, they’ll let you know if they’re comfortable Comfort, care, and freedom to move Knowing how to dress your baby isn’t about following strict rules, but about supporting their daily routine with clothes that allow them to move, explore, and feel secure. Each season brings new adventures, and with the right clothing, your baby can enjoy them all in comfort. At Conguitos, we believe that dressing a baby means caring for their first movements, their playtime, and their well-being from day one.

When do babies start walking?

When do babies start walking and how to support this milestone

Contents When do babies start walking? How to support your baby’s first steps Create a safe space Encourage without pressure Let them go barefoot at home Choose the right shoes when needed Play to strengthen their legs Respect their rhythm The first year of life is full of beautiful milestones: the first smile, the first sounds… and of course, those magical first steps. That moment when your baby decides to explore the world on their own is emotional, exciting and unforgettable. But when do babies actually start walking? And how can you support them so they feel safe and confident? In this post, we’ll guide you through what to expect and how to accompany your little one as they learn to walk. When do babies start walking? Every baby develops at their own pace, but most little ones start taking their first steps between 10 and 18 months. Some do it earlier, some later, both are completely normal. What matters most is understanding the general progression: 6–9 months: They sit up without support and start crawling. 9–12 months: They pull themselves up to stand and begin moving sideways while holding onto furniture. 12–15 months: They start taking their first independent steps. 15–18 months: They walk with more balance, stability, and confidence. If your baby takes a little longer, don’t worry, this stage varies a lot. What truly matters is that your child stays curious, active, and eager to explore. How to support your baby’s first steps 1. Create a safe space Remove obstacles, add non-slip rugs, and protect sharp corners. A clear, open area gives your little one the confidence they need to move freely. 2. Encourage without pressure Smiles, open arms, claps, and playful interactions are the best motivation. Avoid forcing or “teaching” them to walk, this skill develops naturally. 3. Let them go barefoot at home Barefoot walking strengthens the ankles, improves balance, and helps develop proprioception (body awareness). It’s the best way to practice those first steps. 4. Choose the right shoes when needed When your baby is walking outdoors, it’s essential to choose flexible, lightweight, breathable shoes with non-slip soles. At Conguitos you’ll find models specially designed for early walkers, allowing natural foot movement and safe exploration. 5. Play to strengthen their legs Games like pushing a small cart, standing up with support, or chasing a soft ball help build coordination and stability in a fun way. 6. Respect their rhythm Every child develops differently. Some crawl for months before walking; others skip crawling altogether. Some walk early; others prefer watching before trying. What matters is that your baby feels supported and safe. A small step for your baby, a big moment for the whole family Those first steps are magical. One day they hold onto your hands… and the next they’re ready to explore the world. Supporting your baby through this milestone with patience, affection, and the right footwear will help them walk with confidence and comfort. At Conguitos, we’re here to accompany every one of your little explorer’s steps with footwear designed especially for their needs.

Home remedies for sweaty feet in kids

Home remedies for sweaty feet in kids

Goodbye humidity, hello fun! If you're a mom or dad, you probably already know: kids have endless energy... and sometimes feet that could compete with an entire gym. Between running, jumping, playing, and never stopping for a minute, it's normal for their shoes to get warm and their feet a bit sweatier than we'd like. Fortunately, there are home remedies for sweaty feet that are safe, easy to apply, and perfect for keeping your child's feet fresh, dry, and comfortable. At Conguitos, as experts in children's footwear, we know that well-cared-for feet make each step much more comfortable. So, we're here to help with simple and practical solutions. The best home remedies for sweaty feet in children Saltwater baths: simple and effective Salt is a classic that never fails. It helps reduce moisture and leaves feet feeling fresher. Relax their feet with warm water and salt. How to use: Add 2–3 tablespoons of salt to a basin of warm water. Let your child soak their feet for 10–15 minutes. It can even become a relaxing moment before bed. Black tea: the superhero of dry feet Black tea contains tannins, which act as natural astringents to reduce sweating. How to do it: Boil 3 black tea bags, let it cool, and... spa time ready! Soak feet for about 15 minutes. Perfect for kids who sweat more, especially after sports activities. Apple cider vinegar: the grandmother's trick It never fails. Vinegar helps balance pH and fight bad odors. How to use: Mix one part vinegar with two parts warm water. Soak feet for about 10 minutes. Don’t worry about the vinegar smell – it disappears quickly. Baking soda: bye-bye moisture! A must-have in the house, baking soda is a great ally for both feet and shoes. Uses: Sprinkle inside shoes overnight. Or prepare a bath with a tablespoon in warm water. It helps keep shoes dry and odor-free and keeps kids’ feet fresh every day. Cornstarch: gentle on the skin, tough on sweat Perfect for kids with sensitive skin. After drying feet well, apply a little between the toes to keep them dry throughout the day. Extra tips for cautious parents Choose cotton or breathable socks (technical fibers). Make sure to dry between the toes thoroughly after a bath. Avoid synthetic shoes for everyday use. Opt for breathable kids' shoes with insoles that allow air circulation. Let shoes "rest" overnight. Alternate footwear every other day. Wash and air out shoes frequently, especially sports shoes. Add breathable insoles if your child sweats a lot. Sweaty feet in kids is totally normal, but with these home remedies for sweaty feet, keeping them fresh, dry, and odor-free is super easy. A bath here, a bit of baking soda there, and plenty of fun in between. Because when feet are comfortable, the adventure continues! And you know: with happy kids... the day always feels a little sweeter. VIEW OUR SHOES COLLECTION
