Second edition of Conguitos and Juegaterapia

SECOND EDITION: CONGUITOS AND THE MOST SUPPORTIVE DOLL IN THE WORLD

Playing non-stop is synonymous with fun, excitement and joy. That is why, for yet another year, we have joined forces with Juegaterapia to bring fantasy and illusion to brave children who spend long stays in hospitals.

As if it were a superpower, play has great benefits for children. Because play heals, smiles heal and colours make the world a happier place.

the world's most caring doll

HOW ARE WE GOING TO DO IT?

We travel to a land full of magic by the hand of the most supportive doll in the world. From today until 26th May, a set for your Baby Pelón will be available in our Conguitos online shop.

It's a costume that we love and that is already a hallmark of our brand: unicorns. This iconic pack includes a white bodysuit with star print, a fun headband and a full-colour tulle skirt reflecting a beautiful rainbow.

Moreover, this is a product that has been manufactured in our country. It is produced entirely in Spain and is designed for children from one year of age. That is why even the youngest members of the household will enjoy the magic and joy that only this toy is capable of transmitting.

In this way, 100% of the sales of the accessory will go to Juegaterapia to create a space of fantasy and colour for children fighting against cancer. In addition, during this month, the illusion will come twice: part of the sales of the products on our website will also go to this beautiful charity project.

WE REPEAT THE EXPERIENCE TOGETHER

Our relationship with Juegaterapia began last year with the sale of the Disney Princess Baby Pelón through our official online shop. Thanks to this action, we managed to raise more than 3.000, which contributed to the creation of playgrounds and fun rooms in some of the hospitals in Spain.

Our objective in this second edition of Conguitos & Juegaterapia? To do our bit so that the Juegaterapia Foundation continues to bring smiles to the children who spend long days in the different hospitals in our country... Creating magical and colourful worlds where laughter wins out over pain.

Collaborating once again with Juegaterapia is a step towards our commitment to children: that no child should ever stop playing.

LET'S TALK ABOUT JUEGATERAPIA

The story of Juegaterapia began in 2010 when its founder, Mónica Esteban, donated a PlayStation to a child who was receiving chemotherapy treatment. She then realised how valuable it was for the little boy to escape and travel to other places through the game.

Since then, the foundation has carried out numerous projects in which the children not only have fun with toys and consoles, but also have a place where they can have a great time. The rooftops of many hospitals have already become colourful spaces where they can reconnect with the real world.

This is the case, for example, of the facilities at the Hospital de la Fe in Valencia and the 12 de octubre, La Paz and Gregorio Marañón hospitals in Madrid. The organisation is also currently raising funds to build a fifth and sixth space at the Maternity Hospital in Malaga and the Niño Jesús Hospital in Madrid.

In this way, Juegaterapia aims to humanise hospitals by turning the different paediatric areas into fun moon stations, gardens, playgrounds and even cinemas. This is a reminder of the power of imagination that children have when it comes to breaking down walls and transporting them to a world of illusion where there is no pain.

In addition, as a result of a study carried out together with the medical team of the Hospital de la Paz in Madrid, the foundation has also been able to reveal a series of data that demonstrates the effectiveness of the game among children fighting cancer.

The results of this research are truly surprising. The figures obtained show how morphine consumption decreases by 20% while playing the console or how there is a 14% increase in parasympathetic tone, which favours healing.

On the other hand, there are also many celebrities who have participated in Juegaterapia's actions with the Baby Pelones. For example, Edurne, Sara Carbonero, Alejandro Sanz, Mónica Cruz, Marta Hazas and Pablo Alborán. Even some international artists such as Camilo or Gloria Trevi.
